Our Finances

Môrester Academy is committed to providing sustainable, quality education to our learners. As an independent school, we operate on a structured budget aimed at maintaining our academic standards, facilities, and staff support.

We receive a subsidy from the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) which is calculated pro rata according to learner numbers. Since we have a smaller learner population, this subsidy is limited and does not cover all the school’s operational and development costs.

To balance our budget and be able to proceed with:

the maintenance and upgrading of facilities

investment in educational technology

equipping our teachers with the necessary resources

maintaining a high standard of teaching

we rely on:

responsible school fund management

fundraising initiatives

donations from the community and alumni

Môrester Academy is registered as an NPO (199-013NPO) and a PBO (930025773). We can therefore issue Section 18A receipts for tax deduction purposes where applicable.

All donations are used responsibly and transparently for the purpose for which they are given.

Help us strengthen the future of our learners by making a contribution today.
